KREATOR – HATE & HOPE | The Story of a German Metal Legend

From a school band in Germany’s Ruhr region to one of the world’s most influential thrash metal acts: KREATOR have spent four decades making metal history. This documentary chronicles their rise, their unwavering passion for metal, and their uncompromising musical journey.

Through interviews with prominent figures from the metal scene, this 110-minute documentary by director Cordula Kablitz-Post traces KREATOR’s rise from a local band to one of Germany’s most influential metal acts. At its heart is frontman Mille Petrozza and the band’s unwavering commitment to their musical vision over more than four decades.

As Line Producer, I organized and coordinated the Japanese segments of the production. Filming in Japan captured the band’s connection with its fans in Asia and formed an important part of the overall documentary. For me, as a lifelong metal fan, it was also an unforgettable opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look.

A huge thank you to avanti media fiction and KREATOR!
