On tour with Kreator during the „Klash of the Titans“ in Japan
KREATOR are celebrating their 40th (!) band anniversary this year. A great occasion to look back at their career and document where they are now, including their recent tour in Japan together with Swedish melodic death metal heroes IN FLAMES. We started in Osaka and then went to Tokyo – three concerts, several daytime activities outside of the venues, and three nights out as well. A dream project as a line producer project for me! I was happy I managed to get the tour shirts in the end, too, as they were sold out really quickly every night, to commemorate this experience. I like how they localized the T-Shirts by including the Japanese flag.
I thoroughly enjoyed the behind-the-scenes insight into touring and especially talking metal and life with the band members and their crew. Not only the shooting, already the location scouting beforehand yielded some remarkable experiences I will never forget, and I was really happy to be given the opportunity to be a part of this long-term documentary project, directed by Cordula Kablitz-Post (avanti media fiction, based in Berlin).
